A written moving quote for the Jobcenter
If the Jobcenter, the Agentur für Arbeit (employment agency) or the Sozialamt (social services) is to cover your moving costs, you usually need a written cost estimate before you move. We prepare it for your move within Munich, to the surrounding area or anywhere in Germany, with every item listed separately.

How it works
Four steps to cost coverage
- 1
Talk to your agency
Ask your caseworker whether the agency can cover your moving costs and which documents they need.
- 2
Request a cost estimate
Send us the move-out and move-in addresses, floors, elevators, moving volume and your preferred date. In the price calculator, check the box “Cost estimate for the Jobcenter, the Agentur für Arbeit or the Sozialamt”.
- 3
Submit it to the agency
Submit our written cost estimate to your agency. Some agencies ask for quotes from several moving companies.
- 4
Wait for approval, then move
Once the agency has confirmed in writing that it will cover the costs, we book your moving date.
Important: approval first, then the move
Only the agency decides whether it will cover the costs. Be sure to apply before you move and wait for the written approval. Costs incurred without prior approval are usually not reimbursed.

FAQ
Questions about moving with Jobcenter support
Will the Jobcenter pay for a moving company?
The agency decides on a case-by-case basis. It often checks first whether you can organize the move yourself, for example with help from friends or family. Ask your caseworker which documents you need.
What do you need from me for the cost estimate?
Your name, the move-out and move-in addresses, the floor and elevator at both addresses, the long carry from the apartment door, the approximate moving volume or a list of your furniture, and your preferred date. If you have one, please also give us your case number (Aktenzeichen or BG-Nummer).
What if the agency asks for several quotes?
That’s common. Get the additional quotes from other moving companies and submit them all together to your agency.
Can I contact you in English?
Yes. We speak German, English, Turkish and Russian. We prepare the cost estimate for the agency in German.
Does this also work for a move to another city?
Yes. We move you from Munich to anywhere in Germany and vice versa. For long-distance moves with an overnight stay, a lodging fee of €50 per mover per night is added.
